Ask any taxi driver where to have the most authentic Macanese food and they are likely to take you here, located in the Inner Harbour district. Don’t plan on going unless you have a booking or arrive before 5.30pm. This elegant restaurant tends to be packed every night with hungry tourists looking to taste the real thing. The real thing being African chicken so sweet and flavourful that people tend to order a dish per person even though it is suppose to be family-style. Also try the ribs or stir-fried clams and sop the sauce up with warm Portuguese buns. The wine list is superb and includes some of the best wines from the Iberian Peninsula. On weekends, have the number of a cabbie ready as you could, quite literally, wait hours for one to drive by.
