So Many Bars, So Little Time: 2121
The vibe
Like a modern gypsy den elevated above LKF, 2121 is a hangout for those looking to be in LKF but not in it. From the lookout benches, you can spot your friends before they spot you.
The drink
They have a rare bottle of Le Grande Passion Liqueur on the shelf. It’s so rare bars worldwide fight to have a bottle, and stock is auctioned on eBay. According to the bar manager, this is the only bottle available in Hong Kong. Order the “Grand Master Passion”, a blend of Le Grand Passion, sake, fresh mint leaves, and ginger beer ($98), for a taste of something new.
The entertainment
The TV plays top 40 music videos you can sing along to, but the real show happens below in Lan Kwai Fong, and patrons are elevated above the crowd for a bird’s eye view.
The regulars
Pencil-skirt chicas and suited up gents roll into this joint for after-work drinks, as its a great place to chill amid the madness of Lan Kwai Fong.
