There’s a reason why our city has such a dynamic dining culture. From the modern-day farmers to the multi-skilled bread-bakers, we celebrate the visionaries who are making a difference in the way we eat, drink and be merry. By Dorothy So. Photography by Calvin Sit

Food people are not the best looking people are they? Awful attempt to mimic a Vanity Fair cover TOHK. These are not glamorous looking people.
Put it this way, D Young, if I were any better looking I don't think I'd be sitting behind a computer every day writing about what I ate. Speaking for myself of course. And oh, what do people say about Hongkongers being superficial again?
hi there timeout. this article page is a bit broke (the hyperlinks to the following pages don't work). cheers.
Bought it, read it and LOVED it! Janice hun - stay classy :)
'food people are not the best looking' i beg to differ Young d...girl at the back, black vest, tattoo. can't say much about the guys tho.
Since when is model like appearances a prerequisite for being a good food blogger? Way to keep it classy Janice - and I highly enjoy your writing.
Young D - We're talking about good food here, not fashion models. Even models and so called beautiful people are touched up using photoshop, and anyway. Food writers celebrate through food, not their looks.
hey, Young D is kind of right. i don't get why Hong Kong people love to glam themselves out in photoshoots and post like models all the time -- chefs, food bloggers, fashion bloggers (ESPECIALLY THEM. they basically think they're models, i'm not even sure they blog about anything really, its just pictures of themselves), even TUTORS and journalists (have you seen the byline photos in English mags?) it's okay every now and then, but you see this every month, or every week. it's just silly as hell.
