Prepare yourself for a classic, candlelit dinner at one of the city’s most romantic restaurants. Head chef Richard Sawyer’s specially crafted five-course feast ($1,988 per couple) starts with Fine de Claire oysters then rolls on with an elegant consommé, Japanese scallops paired with seared foie gras and grilled organic Angus steak from Rhug Estate. Lawry’s The Prime Rib
Another venue brimming with old-school charm and romance, Lawry’s offers an extravagant menu beginning with a mini bottle of Moët & Chandon rosé and a ‘love platter’ of oysters Rockefeller, smoked salmon roll and Japanese scallop salad. For mains, choose from the restaurant’s famous roasted prime rib or go for the roasted sea bass or baby lamb rack. Share a platter of aphrodisiac oysters at the Sheraton. The six-course Valentine’s menu starts with a selection of fresh seafood before moving on to hot apps, grills and dessert. Be sure to try the restaurant’s famous crab cakes then end the meal by splitting an Earl Grey mousse dome. Enjoy an evening of Spanish passion at this cosy tapas house. No offence, but simply cannot imagine this is an independent list with no sponsorship involved. Food at 798 and Viva Ana are average at best, and the atmosphere in Times Square and Queen's Road East isn't exactly romantic...
