Just Salad
Their salads are tasty and relatively easy on the wallet, given that this is a city where it’s more expensive to eat mixed greens than roast duck. Le Salon de Thé de Joël Robuchon

Life Café
The salads here are incredibly wholesome and very tasty. Greens with roasted pumpkin, beets and tofu, for example, make for a delicious meal that is both satisfying and healthy. The Lounge

Pizza Express
While people tend to go straight to the pizzas on their menu, their salads are outstanding. Their buffalo mozzarella is perfect – soft and creamy and drizzled with olive oil. It features in a Caprese salad with arugula, onions, olives and yummy sun-dried tomatoes, as well as in the purist version – with slices of fresh tomato and a bit of pesto. Their warm grilled chicken and aubergine salad with almonds on a bed of arugula with honey vinaigrette is also excellent. Citywide, 2850 7898. $320.
Red
The salads on their weekly lunch menus keep changing, and are each as creative and delicious as the last – from seafood and green papaya with crispy shallots and sweet chilli dressing, to their baby leaf salad with pear, green apple and blue cheese dressing.
