Time Out Hong Kong Dining Awards 2009: Al fresco
Winner
Coco Thai
This bikini-casual hut offers real outdoor dining. Sprawling terraces with views of other buildings are all well and good, but here you get to sit amid the view, that is, right on Deep Water Bay Beach. Bring a frisbee, bring a dog, or bring a spray fan for pre-dinner entertainment. Tables are set up on the beach amid tiki torches, and you can dig your toes into the sand while feasting on tasty Thai classics. Meal for two: around $200. G/F, West Blk, Island Rd, Deep Water Bay, 2812 1826.
