With six outlets in Hong Kong, they are head to head with the other Japanese burger, Mos. But they also have the breakfast and afternoon tea crowd as well, offering breakfast sandwiches and great coffee. Their class burger with thick-cut tomato, raw onion and sweet mayo ($20) pleases some palettes but not all.
What our tasters said: The tomato was stupidly thick cut… tasted more like a tomato sandwich with meat than the other way around.. The meat was way too thin… the sauce had a Peking duck hosin sweetness to it, and not in a good way.
Overall: 6/10 They need to rework the architecture of this burger. The portions were all wrong. Generally quality ingredients but they just need to rejig the order of importance.
Citywide; we went to the one at Windsor House, Shop No. 110, 311 Gloucester Rd, Causeway Bay, 3486 2833.
