O Manel

This small, Portuguese-run brasserie serves up great deep fried cod balls made with large flakes of cod, mashed potatoes and parsley. The Cantonese-speaking owner will translate today’s special. Sausage fans will appreciate their grilled linguica, the Portuguese cousin to the Spanish chorizo. O Manel is not as famous as Fernando’s but it is just as good, and they take reservations so no more waiting for hours to get a table.
