Sun Yick

Posted:

Wonderfully sloppy and heavy on the garlic, this rough-and-ready restaurant (formally known as Estabelecimento de Comidas e Bebidas Sun Yick) is famous among locals for being a fire light for luminary moths (all the important casino heads eat here). Casually known as ‘Fat Guy’s’, the place is owned by a man with a big belly and even larger personality. He loves fusion. Try the prawns baked with cheese and the humongous chicken curry that comes served in a bread bowl the size of a basketball. Cheap too – $200 will get you full, and that includes a couple of beers.

Bairro Social de Mongha, 1B, R/C, (853) 2848 1046.
