Another timeless number from the early 80s jazz funk era. I remember hearing Gilles Peterson playing this at Dingles Club in London in my teens. Seems to have had a resurgence in the last few years, although maybe it never went away…

Another acid house anthem that made its mark, with a great recent rework from Greg Wilson.

There have been lots of remakes and remixes over the years – some great, some disastrous. But the original always sounds great too…

5. Grace Jones Slave To The Rhythm
Her most amazing and successful song, this has to be one of those tracks that really inspired me to get into music… it still gives me goose bumps.
