A blueprint for 90s electronic music. It doesn’t get any better than this! Even though it’s more trip-hop than house, it sure has highly influenced my taste for rhythm and musical depth.

2. Kevin Saunderson X-Mix: Transmission From Deep Space Radio
He mixes house and Detroit techno with wizard-like vinyl DJ skills. It’s this mix of the two that has been very present in my own productions since the beginning.

3. Todd Terje Inspector Norse
Norway’s musical wunderkind Todd Terje can do no wrong. Every single piece of music made by him is gold! His sound is classic, organic, playful and never gets boring.

4. Kabale und Liebe & Lauhaus Hiphouse
One of the latest releases on my own Rejected label – bluntly sampling Eric B & Rakim on top of a stripped-down house groove. Works everywhere!

5. Lana del Rey Video Games (Joris Voorn Edit)
My own dancefloor take on Lana’s iconic song. It was written and produced by her and two co-writers in two days. That’s something to be very jealous of, especially if you look at the huge success of the song.
