My Essential Selections: Rolec, Sessions HK
For passing time/sleeping
In true hobo fashion, the beaches on Cheung Chau and Pui O offer a full spectrum of taking it easy. Think tripped-out chats on the ocean bed when low tide hits.
For soul food
My mate Elliot has run this UK vibe bar/grub joint The Jockey for as long as I've been here − best burgers in town, easily. He also owns the Brasserie de L’ile.
For tourist attractions
Chime Long in Guangzhou has got one of the best zoos I've seen in Asia − giant storks, a mad range of African wildlife… plus you get to pet tiger cubs.
For one-of-a-kind swagger
Nothing beats a session of dusty fingers at the thrift-store chain Me & George. Hell… I'd consider this a tourist attraction. ‘Vintage’ shit they call it.
For getting down
A couple of mates and I run Sessions HK - an outlet for those faithfully frontin’ fresh reggae, rap and bass music.
