Fourteen years ago, our very own special administrative region came into being after the Brits handed Hong Kong over to the Chinese. And we couldn’t think of a better way to mark the anniversary of this historic occasion than a good, old-fashioned party. MASS!VE, the crew known for bringing over electronic heavyweights like Above & Beyond, is hosting the White Handover Party with German trance duo Kyau & Albert headlining the festivities. They’re known for their pulsating trance tunes and electrified vocals on tracks like Made of Sun, which will go nicely with the visual graphics running all evening. DJ Christian, who was spinning at the original 1997 handover party, will be rounding off the bill with a tech house set. Tynee, Celebrity Pool Boy and other local DJs will also have their turn at the decks. With W’s White Pool Party on Saturday 25, your ‘brights’ will be getting plenty of chances to air out this fortnight.
