HK Writer's Circle open house
Any budding writers out there who want to get up close and personal with other amateurs in the city? If that means you, then head to Dymocks bookstore in Central Building (on the way to the Landmark) on Saturday May 26 for a good read, chat and - possibly - drink.
The Hong Kong Writers Circle, which is made up of some of the best amateur authors in the city, will host its first open house from 5.30pm. Melanie Ho, spokesman for the group, says: “Come out and join us for a glass of wine or two, or three, connect with Hong Kong writers, find out about the HKWC, buy some books and win some great prizes.
“Some HKWC members will be reading from our annual anthologies, while HKWC members Alan Brown and Edmund Price will read from their new novels. No RSVP is required and the event is open to both members and non-members. For those who are interested, we will go for dinner after following the reading.”
Anyone interested in joining the team for dinner should email hello@hkwriterscircle.com so they can get an idea on numbers. Otherwise just go along to the bookstore and join in the literary fun!
