One World Exposition
“Actually at the time, I didn’t think it was a video work. I just wanted to record a performance,’ said Zhang Peili, the Father of Chinese Video Art, of his seminal 1988 piece 30x30 (pictured) when he talked to Time Out earlier this year. To further explore the future of contemporary Chinese art, Zhang and 17 other media artists from both Hong Kong and Mainland China will exhibit their works and take part in a month-long programme of symposia, talks, screenings and performances at various venues, presented by Videotage.
