To infinity... and Lantau!

The happiest place on Earth just got even happier with the opening of Toy Story Land. Andrea Yu braves multiple G-forces to give you her take on the newest rides at Disneyland…

Slinky Dog Spin
Mr Slinky Dog was never the brightest toy in the box. Here, he attempts to catch his own tail and, in the process, riders are spun around at varying speeds and heights. The attraction never gets too thrilling, making it suitable for younger adventure-seekers. And at the designated viewing area just beside the ride, you can watch the Slinky Dog wagging his tail.

Toy Soldier Parachute Drop
This ride is a moderate thrill that gives you a pretty wicked view of the whole Toy Story area. Pretend you’re part of the army troops and get boosted up 25m into the air then dropped back down again (and again). This one leaves your stomach hanging in mid-air, so make sure you have a light lunch! Take a 10, 12 or two o’clock spot for the best vantage point in mid-air.
Thrill Rating: 3

RC Racer
Hold on tight in this ‘toy’ race car while it rides up and down a 27m U-shaped track. It’s by far the most thrilling ride in the park, possibly rivalling Space Mountain for scare-factor. Line up for a spot at the very back of the car to get the biggest thrill out of your ride. When you’re at the top, it very nearly feels like you’re going to tumble out of the car. Don’t look down…
