More than 15 luxury brands will showcase their slickest supercars for you to drool over at Top Marques Macau. James Sibley picks the coolest rides to check out…

Maserati GranCabrio Sport
Should windswept hair be what you seek, look no further than this baby. The convertible’s slick exterior was made for the man or woman undergoing a midlife crisis and in need of a showy car to roam the town. The 4.7-litre V8 engine has super-fast 60 millisecond shifting and 450HP with a top speed of 285km/h. MSRP US$139,000

Conquest Knight XV
If for some reason you’re often the target of hitmen, this car has your name on it. The juggernaut is three times the size of your average car and is also fully bulletproof to boot. Surprisingly, it can run on 85 percent ethylene so you can feel moderately environmentally friendly with cleaner emissions. We expect this beast to be at the top of 50 Cent’s wishlist this Christmas. MSRP US$629,000

Fisker Karma
Among a sea of over-the-top gas guzzlers comes one small beacon of hope. Designed by Hendrick Fisker, the same man behind the Aston Martin DB9, the Fisker Karma’s hybrid electric motor can go from 0 to 60 in under an impressive six seconds. Solar panels mounted on the roof provide energy for the much-needed air con and a bit of the internal electronics. When in ‘Stealth Mode’, the car runs solely off of the two electric motors for a range of 80km, while the ‘Sport Mode’ makes use of the combustion engine in front. MSRP US$95,900

Audi R8 LMS
This groundhugger is lighter than the R8 GT which it was modelled from. The carbon-fibre body and 5.6-litre V10 engine mean whiplash-inducing torque but sadly it’s been modified from the original 493HP to 470. Sigh. But considering how sexy this ride looks from the side, we’re willing to overlook the reduction in horsepower. MSRP US$400,000

Ferrari 458 Italia
With 530HP and 4,499CC displacement, this supercar can go from 0 to 60 in approximately 4.3 seconds using newly-designed paddle-shifting technology. As you pick up speed, the adjustable wind deflectors ensure that the cabin interior still remains quiet enough for you and your passengers to chat about how cool you look inside your pretty, pretty ride. MSRP US$225,000

Rolls Royce Ghost
Since it’s a little shorter in length than the Phantom, the Ghost doesn’t carry quite the same feeling of regality as your typically flashy Roller. Spec-wise, it’s got a 563HP twin turbo V12 and gets from 0 to 60 in a decent five seconds. Adaptive air suspension means a nice and comfortable ride for you, your mistress and her immaculately-groomed poodle. MSRP US$250,000
