Fisker Karma
Among a sea of over-the-top gas guzzlers comes one small beacon of hope. Designed by Hendrick Fisker, the same man behind the Aston Martin DB9, the Fisker Karma’s hybrid electric motor can go from 0 to 60 in under an impressive six seconds. Solar panels mounted on the roof provide energy for the much-needed air con and a bit of the internal electronics. Audi R8 LMS
This groundhugger is lighter than the R8 GT which it was modelled from. The carbon-fibre body and 5.6-litre V10 engine mean whiplash-inducing torque but sadly it’s been modified from the original 493HP to 470. Sigh. But considering how sexy this ride looks from the side, we’re willing to overlook the reduction in horsepower. MSRP US$400,000

With 530HP and 4,499CC displacement, this supercar can go from 0 to 60 in approximately 4.3 seconds using newly-designed paddle-shifting technology.
